Member Spotlight: Annabel ✨

Welcome to our new blog series, Member Spotlight.

In this series, we’ll be getting to know some of our INCREDIBLE members a little better. We recently spoke to some of our members and asked them a few questions about themselves and why they love being members of Sound Pop Academy.

First up, we spoke to Annabel. Annabel has been a member of Sound Pop Academy for over 2 years and she’s amazingly dedicated and friendly to everybody! Let’s see what she had to say.

How old are you?

“I’m 11!”

If you could meet any singer who would it be?

“I would like to meet Lizzo. I really love her song Special!”

What superpower would you love to have and why?

“I’d love to have the superpower to shapeshift so I could turn into any animal I want.” (we think this sounds pretty cool, too!)

What would your friends say you’re really good at?

“My friends would say that I’m really good and singing, dancing and drawing.”

When you came for your trial at Sound Pop Academy, what made you want to join?

“I loved the inclusivity of it and how everybody gets along at sessions.”

Why do you like singing, dancing and performing?

“Because it makes me happy and really proud of myself.”

Do you have a favourite memory of being a member of Sound Pop Academy?

“My favourite memory is either meeting Sam Bailey at her singing workshop or performing at Mayflower Theatre in front of 2000 people!” (you can read more about One Sound: Musicals, our performance at Mayflower Theatre here)

And finally, why should other young people join Sound Pop Academy?

“Because it’s really fun and it opens up new opportunities.”

Wicked! Thanks so much for chatting with us, Annabel.
