Sound Pop Academy’s weekly sessions operate in line with the school term, meaning there are no face to face sessions during the school holidays.
To ensure clarity around membership fees and when these are taken, we have provided information below to ensure you are happy to proceed with the activation of a membership, prior to making payment.
The membership fee is charged throughout the year. We take the yearly fee and divide it by 12 and that payment is debited from the bill-payer on their re-bill date, once per month. By operating this way, parents, guardians and bill-payers are able to make monthly payments without having to pay for a full term up front. This also allows us to keep membership fees lower as there is less administration involved. Additionally, this means you can cancel at any point in the year without having to give us notice. So long as you cancel before your next re-bill date, you can leave us at anytime.
We have undertaken research around how we collect payments to ensure it is fair, clear and affordable. We understand that parents, guardians and those who pay the membership fee are happy with this arrangement.
What does this mean for you?
The membership fee will be taken in August, over the school holidays and when there are no face-to-face sessions.
Sound Pop Academy members are encouraged to engage as much as possible during their time with us, through the variety of services we offer. The membership fee includes more than just our weekly face-to-face sessions. It’s a monthly fee that encompasses the variety of services we offer. This means that we do not charge members for any of the performances that are organised by Sound Pop Academy, additional rehearsals, extended or joint rehearsals, our online members area, or any other activity related to the main academy offering – it’s all included within the monthly fee to keep it nice and easy.
In addition to the monthly membership fee, members also have access to a range of benefits, such as 20% off all of our workshops, which includes our Music Video Recording Project during the school holidays (subject to a successful audition), access to our Perks and Offers (accessed via the Members Area), events throughout the year, and a discounted ticket to our Family Festival for their friends and family.
In addition to this, the membership fee includes our Members Area. We create content which can be accessed at any point throughout the year, from anywhere in the world, so long as your membership is active. Typically, members use the Members Area throughout the summer to rehearse all of our songs, ready for when sessions do resume in September.
Sound Pop Academy remains around 40% cheaper than our competitors and on average, offers more sessions and additional activity per year than other groups similar to ours. We are proud to be an inclusive group who provides a high level of tuition and service, whilst keeping the monthly fee affordable, unrestricted and flexible, and this means that the monthly membership fee is payable in August.
Members who wish to cancel their membership should do so via their Members Area before their next payment is debited.
Should a member wish to return at any point in the year, a £15 re-join fee is payable. Any member who wishes to cancel their membership in the months of July or August, will enter a 3 month lock-out period, meaning they will not be able to rejoin until 3 months after the date of cancellation.
