Back in September 2018, we opened our first two academies in Southampton and Hedge End and since then we have had the best time! Our members are super special and have become the foundation of everything Sound Pop Academy encompasses. Our members have gigged across Hampshire, had time in the recording studio, raised a load of cash for charities, made loads of new friends and are about to perform in their first SELL-OUT theatre show in Southampton.
By running weekly sessions throughout the year, we pride ourselves on teaching young people about harmony singing, vocal technique and performance skills. This is all achieved in a fun, creative and engaging way. Our aim is to provide first class tuition to all of our members, whilst inspiring them to be the best they can be.
We want to get more young people singing and performing around the region. Therefore, we’re excited to be launching two brand new academies from September 2019.
Port Solent – OPENING 26 September 2019 – Castle View Academy – 6pm – 8pm
Winchester – OPENING 3 October – The Nutshell – 4.45pm – 6.45pm
Not only will these new academies become part of the Sound Pop Academy family, but they will be performing at Mayflower Theatre in 2020. All of our academies will be performing as part of the One Sound 2020 collaborative choir show.
To celebrate the launch of our new academies, we’ll be running a FREE vocal, harmony and performance workshop on Saturday 14 September 2019.
