The Summer Term is Just Around the Corner!

We can’t quite believe it is the end of the Easter break already, but we have been loving the spring sunshine and can’t wait for the summer term to kick off this week! ☀️

It is always one of the busiest terms at Sound Pop Academy and here’s a look at just some of the super exciting things we have coming up.

ONE SOUND: LEGENDS

In May, our Advanced members, aged 9-17, will take to the stage at Mayflower Theatre in Southampton to perform at One Sound: Legends 🪩

This amazing event will see us perform for an audience of more than 2,000 people. Members have been busy practising their harmonies, choreography and performance skills ready to perform our own set as well as getting to sing on stage with Love Soul Choir and Sing Now Choir. We REALLY can’t wait!

MUSIC VIDEO PROJECT

Auditions have recently taken place for this year’s Music Video Recording Project and the successful participants will soon find out the top-secret song they will be recording! 🎤

The project runs over a number of days and those involved get to work with a professional creative team to record vocals, learn choreography and professionally film a music video. Be sure to check out last year’s epic video! 🌟

summer theatre shows

At the beginning of August, we round off the year with our incredible Summer Theatre Show! This year our two shows are taking place at Thornden Hall and are a fantastic way for our members to celebrate their achievements by showcasing all the songs they’ve learnt throughout the year.

All of our members are invited to perform, with our Little members, aged 6-8, taking to the stage in the afternoon and our Advanced members performing in the evening. This year’s theme is GLOW and is set to be our brightest and boldest show yet! ✨
