X Factor Winner, Sam Bailey is heading to Sound Pop Academy!
We like to push the boundaries both inside and outside the rehearsal room at Sound Pop Academy. In fact, it’s one of our principles. We don’t just want to offer the same opportunities every year, because that’s no fun and our members will only get so much from it. Because of this, we’re always on the lookout for new and exciting opportunities that will engage our members and give them experiences that no other group can offer.
Let us introduce Sam Bailey!
Sam won the X Factor (yes, that reality TV show that divides the nation) in 2013. However, we have always loved Sam’s story and she’s an awesome vocalist who was always destined for bigger things.
After some messaging back and forth, we were lucky enough to book Sam to run a workshop for us as part of Sound Pop Academy and we think she’ll be an amazing fit as a guest workshop leader! She’s going to be delivering her workshop from a slightly different angle, which we think will fit in really well and compliment what we do at Sound Pop Academy.
Sam Bailey has supported Beyoncé on the UK leg of The Mrs. Carter Show world tour and has worked on some of the best touring musicals in the UK such as ‘Chicago’, ‘Fat Friends the Musical’ and ‘Vampires Rock’ to name a few. In fact, at the time of writing this blog, she is currently in New York City to perform at a movie premiere in Manhattan!
She’s a master (or lady!) of all talents and we can’t wait for her to spend time with a small group of young people this summer.
If you have a child aged 7-17 who would love to work with an X Factor winner (and top notch performer!) then get them booked on, pronto.
Tickets are on sale Friday 21 February from HERE and there’s just 35 spaces available.
The workshop will run 10am – 1pm at Oasis Academy in Mayfield on Sunday 28 June 2020.
Places are priced at £30 for Sound Pop Academy members and £35 for non-members.
We run incredible public workshops throughout the year for young people aged 7-17! Tickets for our public workshops tend to go quickly, so be sure to keep checking back for new events if we’re sold out.
